Samantha seems to be ready for marriage when she took to her micro blogging page to express her feeling after a shoot with a kid.
Samantha tweeted “Shooing with a kid…he had to hug me.. I didn’t wanna let go.. His tiny lil fingers and arms wrapped around me tight.. Sigh.. I know I am getting old now… Ha ha… Mommy feelings are starting to creep in.”
Just when everyone thought there could well be a star wedding soon to dance and have fun, “Hello relax I am not getting married Tm… Not for a long long long long long time… So calm down,” she further posted in repy to her friends enquiring about her marriage plans.
The hot and happening couple of telugu cinema, Samantha and Sidarth, have always been maintaining that they are family friends and mutual well wishers. However the disappointment was apparent on Samantha's face when she won the enviable double awards.
The telugu movie actress won two black ladies at the Film Fare Awards this year. While she had every appreciation possible, she missed the acknowledgment from one person - Sidarth. The actor could not attend the function which had disappointed Samantha. When the actress expressed her sorrow in her micro blog, she was thronged with questions that smirked 'what's cooking'. However, as always, she reiterated that she and Sidarth are just good friends.
telugu movie queen seems like Samantha now wants to play down her much talked about affair with Sidarth. “He is one of my close friends,” the actor maintains.
The telugu movie Eega actor, who sparked off rumours about marriage with Sidarth after she was spotted with the actor at the Sri Kalahasti temple, tweeted that she missed Sidarth at the Filmfare function, where she won two awards. She had added hugs and kisses to the tweet.
When quizzed about this, she said, “Please don’t read between the lines after seeing my tweet for Sidarth alone. Why don’t people see my tweets for others?”
She added, “I always say ‘hugs and kisses’ to everyone and Sidarth is no exception. He is one my best friends and hence I wished he was there at the awards function.”
With her telugu movie film 'Eega' being screened at prestigious international film festivals lately, Samantha is being embraced by global audiences and is going places.
A delighted Sam gushes, "The credit goes to telugu movie director S.S. Rajamouli. I knew that this man would make me bigger with the film. I have great faith in him and the film’s success proved me right."
What does she consider before signing a film? "Even big actors look stupid in flop films. So I firmly believe that everything depends on the director. It’s a deciding factor for me while signing a film and of course, the script is my top priority.
"I’m very picky; I only take up movies with substance and don’t choose films based on who my co-star will be," she says.
Does that mean she is willing to work with young talents? "Of course. Recently, smaller films like 'Pizza' and 'Prema Katha Chitram' have done wonders at the box office," Sam remarks.
With her peers Kajal, Tamannah and Ileana migrating to Bollywood, does she harbour the same ambitions? "I’ve been receiving several offers for Hindi films, but I’m quite happy with my work in the telugu movies. Unless something irresistible comes along, I will not act in a Bollywood film," she replies.
Moving towards her co-star in 'Atharintiki Daredi', she shares, "Pawan is so down-to-earth. He is such a big star and many people treat him like a god, but he is very humble and grounded. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with him again. But contrary to rumours, I’m not doing the Gabbar Singh sequel."
Who are her friends in the industry? "Thanks to my hectic schedule, I wasn’t able to socialise much and lost many of my friends. I feel lonely but my work helps me keep loneliness at bay. Everyone on the sets of my films are my friends.
There is no smoke without fire, insists the tinsel grapevine. Samantha has been playing her cards right. She recently told the media people that she will quit films and be out of media glare after three years.
She is a smart girl and is already preparing her fans and media for her exit by slowly giving out details about her future plans.
Meanwhile, she has been spotted with a tattoo. She revealed the tattoo that reads ‘love’ to the media. Now, those in the media insist that the tattoo is symbolic of her love for sidarth. It is being said that the pair is very much in love and that they will be tying the knot soon.
If sources are to be believed, families of both the actors have also given their nod to their wedding.
It’s only a matter of time before Samantha and Sidarth will make a formal announcement.
