Karthi was down with a slew of failures. At a time when his career was in the crossroads comes Biriyani. cooked by director Venkat Prabhu.

The filmmaker. who comes fresh from the success of mankatha, has managed to come up with a spicy and tasty stuff that is entertaining and engaging all through. The movie has a galaxy of stars including Karthi, Ramki, Premji Amaran, Hansika, Mandy Thakar among others.

What makes this movie more interesting s that it is 100th musical venture of Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography is by Sakthi Saravanan. After a dull show in his last All in All Azhaguraja, Karthi is back to play the best in his career so far. He is energetic and entertains all well. Hansika looks cute bubbly and spicy while MandyThakar's glamour quotient is amazing.

STORY

It’s about how two guys (Karthi and Premgi Amaren), after a night of drinking, go out to eat biriyani and find themselves in the middle of an elaborate conspiracy. There is girls, glamour, romance, hit and run, crime, cops and chase all through.

Performance

Karthi carries the show well. he is at ease and comedy comes naturally to him. In flashy costumes and a new make-over, he is right there delivering his best. Splendid is the word for Hansika and mandy Thakar's performance. They pull off their best while Premji manages to evoke laughter. Ramki in a prominent role is good.

Analysis

The high point is tribute to AJith and Vijay with songs from mankatha and Thuppaki.But songs by Yuvan proves a break. Cinematography is awesome.Venkat Prabhu known for his jolly fun movies dosen't disappoints. Fiorst half glamour and second half thrills and suspense makes up a tasty yummy Biriyani.
