Telugu movies famous comedy actor Brahmanandam Kanneganti (born 1 February 1956), is an Indian actor and comedian. Hailing from Sattenapalli in Andhra Pradesh, he mostly acts in Telugu films. Prior to films, he was a Telugu lecturer in Attili, a town in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

He currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most screen credits for a living actor.He has appeared in over 1000 films.He was honoured with the Padma Sri, India's fourth highest civilian honour for his contribution to Indian cinema in 2009.Brahmanandam is considered one of the most versatile Indian comic actors, noted particularly for his comic expressions.Brahmanandam forayed onto the small screen with the quiz show Brahmi 1 million Show on iNews with a format similar to Kaun Banega Crorepati. 

Brahmanandam in Bollywood

It is official, Brahmanandam is doing a Hindi film and this was confirmed by the comedian himself. The ace comedian has been approached by Bollywood director Anees Bazmee for a special role in Welcome Back, sequel to 2007 super hit film Welcome. Brahmanandam admits to have been approached and he toohas expressed his interest to be part of the project. If everything goes well, Brahmi will be shooting for the film from December 15.

Welcome Back is the second Hindi film for Brahmi.He had earlier starred in Sooryavansham with Amitabh Bachchan. This time he will be seen along with Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and John Abraham. It is said that Anees Bazmee has told Brahmi that he is big fan of him, which came as a great surprise to the ace comedian.

"A couple of days ago, Anees Bazmee called me expressing his wish to cast me in his next project. He created a very special character for me and I loved the narration and gave my nod. It's going to be a laugh riot all the way," shares Brahmanandam, refusing to divulge more details about the character.

The actor is yet to sign on the dotted line, but seems to have made up his mind to be a part of the movie. "The details are yet to be finalised, but I will definitely be a part of it. If all goes to plan, I could begin shooting from December 15," quips Brahmanandam.

It is going to the veteran comedian's second Bollywood venture. His first Hindi venture was the 1999 family drama, Sooryavansham, starring Amitabh Bachchan. Brahmanandam seems to be looking forward to sharing the screen with John Abraham, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. "It's an ensemble cast and is going to be a rocking film," adds the veteran of over 850 films.
